Comments: James Theodore Grady (Nee: ) | Wanamassa NJ United States | 1851-1900 | Comments: I have an old studio photograph of James Theodore GRADY taken at the Lee Studio in Phillipsburg, NJ when he was just 10 months old. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880’s or 1890’s. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding James and his family:
James Theodore GRADY was b. 25 Jan or Jun 1893 in Brooklyn or Manhattan, NY to parents James Theodore GRADY (1845-1893) and Eloise Anita METTLER (1853-1915). James had two half-siblings from his father’s previous marriage including Virginia Treadwell GRADY (1872-1956) and Florence Mettler GRADY (1876-1945).
James married Natalie Mary RESOR (1901-1971) on 22 Mar 1920 in Brooklyn, NY and they had four children including Eloise N.; James T. Jr.; Gloria Winifred; and Baby Girl GRADY, all born between 1921 and 1929. James died 7 Feb 1951 in Wanamessa, NJ and is buried in the Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery in Kearny, NJ.
