Comments: Catharine A Brinkmann (Nee: Foose) | PA United States | 1851-1900 | Comments: I have an old studio photograph of Katie FOOSE who is identified as the "sister of Agnes FOOSE TRESSLER". The photograph was taken at the Musser Studio in Harrisburg, PA. It appears to have been taken in the 1890's or early 1900's with Katie likely in her 20's or 30's at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Katie and her family:
Catharine “Katie” or “Katty” A. FOOSE was b. 11 Jul 1870 in East Pleasant Valley or Centre Township, Perry County, PA to parents Isaiah Carl FOOSE (1835-1909) and Elizabeth “Eliza” Jane FOOSE (1844-1884). Katie was one of 7 children born to this couple including Austin D.; Katie; Agnes Nora; Lourena or Lurena or Lorena May; Mary Ann; Emma Jane; and Ella Myrtle FOOSE, all born between 1868 and 1882. Katie married Hermann or Herman or Hiram B. BRINKMANN or BRINKMAN (1848-1928) on 5 Aug 1897 in New Bloomfield, PA. Katie died 10 Jul 1907 in West Pleasant Valley, PA and is buried in the Messiah Lutheran Church Cemetery in Elliottsburg, PA.
