Munder's life was indicative of what can be accomplished by by merit guided by the highest Christian principles. He became a meticulous Master printer and typographer and a pioneer in modern printing - bringing its level to a fine art. Norman was born in 1867 in Baltimore to German-born Charles Munder and Priscilla Price. He founded the Norman T.A. Munder & Co. which was well respected and won numerous awards. His unofficial biography was written in 1929 by L.J. Hawley and he became well-known nationally and was tributed many times by the "Baltimore Sun" and by various advertising firms. Enoch Pratt Library holds many of his prints and his history can be found online. Norman married Elizabeth "Bessie" Riefle and they were the parents of 2 daughters. Bessie (sister of James H. Riefle (search
"Riefle")) died in childbirth and Norman remarried. Norman died in 1953.
